Sarah and I have been offered the opportunity to spend some time at the gorgeous Red Hawk Farm in southeastern Ohio. We’ve moved into Abner Williams’ Log Cabin, a homestead granted by James Madison, built in 1828, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We spend our days writing and working in the mornings, then roaming the forty acres of woods and pastures; feeding horses, chickens, and dogs; cooking with the fresh veggies from the garden and the apples from the apple trees; and getting to know the land we’re living from.

I am still in close proximity to both Pittsburgh and Columbus, Ohio, and am traveling regularly to both cities to photograph weddings and engagement sessions (and to enjoy a good espresso and a Pamela’s breakfast from time to time!) Here are some photos of our new home. More to come…

Huge thanks to John and Meg for this opportunity!

Looks lovely.
